ITA: A Week Full of Bronco Tennis Victories by Lauren Albright
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State’s 46th-ranked men’s tennis team opened their Boise State SpringHill Suites Invitational Saturday morning with an impressive 6-1 victory over the Marquette Golden Eagles in the Boas Indoor Tennis Center at Boise. Fresh off its Blue Gray National Tennis Invitational championship last weekend, Boise State wasted little time in taking control against Marquette sweeping all three doubles matches then followed with wins in five of the six singles matches, four in straight sets. The victory improved the Broncos to 10-8 overall on the year. They have now won four consecutive matches and seven of their last eight, as well as extended their home win streak to 23.

Idaho Tennis Association: Show Them The Money!!!

You’re about to get a nice gift from the USTA over the next few years at the U.S. Open. This week, the USTA announced that not only are they adding an additional $4 million to the overall prize money at the 2013 Open (on top of the $4 million increase agreed to in December) but that they will increase the overall prize money to $50 million by 2017. That will essentially be double what the prize money was last year at the U.S. Open. Here’s the good stuff about the agreement:
United Water Idaho to be Presenting Sponsor for U.S. Davis Cup Team Welcome and Family Event
The City of Boise and Idaho Tennis Association today announced that United Water Idaho has joined as presenting sponsor for the U.S. Davis Cup Team Welcome and Family Event this Tuesday, April 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CenturyLink Arena.
The free event will welcome the U.S. Davis Cup Team to Boise and provide a variety of kids’ tennis activities. The evening will include an appearance by members of the U.S. Davis Cup Team and will feature games and other tennis activities for kids and teens ages 5 to 13.

The Uintah Basin Oilers are coming off their best season in franchise history and the buzz around the team has coach Lee Slaugh excited.
